Description
A type of optical power management device that is fabricated using silica optical waveguide technology. PLC Splitters are appropriate for high density applications and are based on PLC (Planar Lightwave Circuit) technology. A PLC splitter can simplify the network architecture and cut costs by setting the transmission power of each splitter output port to the same value. Because it enables several users to use a single PON interface, a splitter is crucial to passive optical networks. The fiber light is split into multiple portions in a predetermined ratio by a fiber splitter. Because of its tiny form factor and bend-insensitive cable, the PLC splitter has minimum distortion while in operation, guaranteeing steady optical transmission.
