The EU Has Made A Final Anti-subsidy Ruling On Indian Single-mode Optical Fiber Cables And Adjusted Anti-dumping Duties

Recently, the European Commission announced that it has made a final anti-subsidy ruling on single-mode optical fiber cables originating in India, and decided to impose an anti-subsidy duty of 3.7%-8.1% on the products involved. At the same time, the anti-dumping duty on the Indian products involved was adjusted to 2.9%-8.8%. The EU CN (Combined Nomenclature) code of the products involved is ex 8544 70 00 (TARIC codes are 8544700010 and 8544700091).

 

The subsidy investigation period for this case is from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023, and the injury investigation period is from January 1, 2020 to the end of the subsidy investigation period. The announcement will take effect from the day after it is issued.

 

On May 17, 2024, the European Commission initiated an anti-subsidy investigation on single-mode optical fiber cables originating in India.

 

On November 16, 2023, the European Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation on single-mode optical fiber cables originating in India. On December 16, 2024, the European Commission made an affirmative final anti-dumping ruling on the Indian products involved and formally imposed anti-dumping duties at a rate of 6.9% to 11.4%.
