Recently, Changfei Optical Fiber and Cable Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Changfei Company", stock code: 601869.SH, 06869.HK) cooperated with the global leading company in VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) industry, and successfully demonstrated 212G high-speed link transmission based on 212G VCSEL, high-performance DSP technology and Changfei's multimode optical fiber. It verified the feasibility of high-speed and stable communication of Changfei's multimode optical fiber products within a distance of 30-50 meters, and laid a solid technical foundation for the application of the next-generation 1.6T-SR8 optical module in the AI intelligent computing center.
In view of the central wavelength of 212G VCSEL laser, YOFC has precisely optimized the multimode optical fiber and achieved wavelength matching between optical fiber and VCSEL. Meanwhile, through the innovation of material formula and the upgrade of manufacturing process, the bandwidth performance of multimode optical fiber has been significantly improved, thereby greatly enhancing its high-speed signal carrying capacity. This technological breakthrough not only optimizes transmission efficiency, but also provides reliable guarantee for future application scenarios with higher bandwidth requirements.
YOFC has been deeply engaged in the field of multimode optical fiber for many years and has continued to innovate. With years of technological accumulation and continuous innovation breakthroughs, it has successfully created an internationally leading series of products and won the trust and praise of many customers. YOFC launched the Ultra-Bay® OM4 Pro/Ultra series of multimode optical fibers in 2024. The operating wavelength is extended from 850nm of the traditional OM4 to 850~870nm and 850~910nm respectively, which effectively compensates for the signal degradation caused by the wavelength offset of the optical module and provides a lossless channel for the 800G Ethernet of the AI intelligent computing center. In the future, YOFC will continue to strengthen its R&D investment, focus on core technologies that support AI computing power networks and future high-speed data center needs, launch more high-performance data transmission solutions, and bring more excellent data transmission experience to global users through in-depth collaboration with ecological partners, and jointly promote the development of a global digital society.
