Recently, Changfei Optical Fiber and Cable Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Changfei Company", stock code: 601869.SH, 06869.HK) and the National Key Laboratory of Advanced Manufacturing and Application Technology of Optical Fiber and Cable jointly with Tianjin Mobile conducted an innovative pilot based on the "Data Center + Intelligent Computing Center" large-capacity fiber core demand scenario, and the test was a complete success. This is the first pilot of multi-core optical fiber solutions for data centers in China, the first multi-core optical fiber line for data centers loaded with services in China, and the first batch of multi-core optical fiber fan-in and fan-out test stations in China.

In August 2024, YOFC and the National Key Laboratory of Advanced Manufacturing and Application Technology of Optical Fiber and Cable jointly with Tianjin Mobile conducted an innovative pilot based on the large-capacity fiber core demand scenario of "Data Center + Intelligent Computing Center", exploring solutions to solve the bottleneck problem of large-capacity optical cable consumption of pipe hole resources and multi-core optical cables replacing a large number of traditional optical cables to solve business carrying and scheduling. This pilot was deployed in the existing network transmission room of Caozhuang Data Center in Tianjin. A multi-core optical cable line containing 36 four-core optical fibers was laid between Building 2 and Building 1 in Caozhuang, and a conventional 144-core G652 optical cable of the same distance was laid for comparison. At the same time, YOFC provides a full set of solutions such as four-core fiber fan-in and fan-out devices, four-core MPO/LC connectors, etc. In the pilot line, the maximum insertion loss of the four-core FIFO provided by YOFC is 0.5dB, and the average is 0.31dB, which is leading in the industry; the attenuation of each channel of the four-core optical fiber is similar to that of ordinary single-mode optical fiber, and the single-fiber capacity is increased to 4 times that of ordinary single-mode optical fiber, while the volume of the optical cable is reduced to 45.7% of the original, which has broad application prospects in high-density wiring scenarios with limited pipelines.
