Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Key Points for Industrial and Information Technology Standards Work in 2025" (hereinafter referred to as the "Key Points"), and required the industrial and information technology authorities of all provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, relevant industry associations, standardization technical organizations and professional institutions to implement them in light of the actual work in their industries (fields) and regions.

The "Work Points" proposes that this year, we will focus on improving the construction of a modern industrial system, implement the "Implementation Plan for the New Industry Standardization Pilot Project (2023-2035)", continue to improve the construction of the emerging industry standard system, prospectively plan future industry standard research, formulate more than 1,800 industry standards, and establish more than 5 emerging and future industry standardization technical organizations. Focusing on building a solid bottom line for industrial development security, we will compile a guide to the construction of a mandatory national standard system for industry and information technology, and organize the compilation of more than 100 mandatory national standards. Focusing on promoting the global development of the industry, we will support more than 100 international standards led by Chinese enterprises and institutions, and the international standard conversion rate of the entire industry will reach 88%. We will improve the modernization level of industry governance capabilities and provide strong guarantees for promoting new industrialization and accelerating the construction of a strong manufacturing country and a strong network country.

The "Work Points" clearly deploys the construction of standards for emerging industries. The "Work Points" proposes to optimize and improve the standards for new-generation information technology such as cloud computing, big data, blockchain, and Beidou navigation, coordinate the formulation of standards for the basic general, key technologies, product services, industry applications, and security governance of new-generation information technology, and help break through a number of new-generation information technology application products for integrated applications. Accelerate the construction of a new information infrastructure standard system, and promote research on standards such as 5G-A, low-altitude information infrastructure, 6G, and quantum secure communications. Carry out new materials such as advanced metals, advanced non-metals, and advanced polymers, new energy vehicles such as key components, intelligent networking technologies, and full life cycle management, robots such as special industry applications, high-end equipment such as high-end CNC machine tools, medical equipment, and safety emergency equipment, green smart ships, deep-sea polar equipment, and other ships and marine engineering equipment, low-altitude industries, large aircraft, and other civil aviation standard systems, and accelerate the development of basic commonalities, key technologies, advanced processes, test methods, key products, typical applications, and safety standards.
