After being protected by the joint box, the fiber optic connector should be able to resist moisture erosion, without increasing the attenuation of the fiber optic connector before protection, and meet the following requirements:

optical performance

The remaining optical fibers in the optical cable splice box are wound inside the optical fiber placement device. During the installation and use of the optical cable splice box, there should be no significant additional attenuation of the optical fiber splice.

Sealing performance

After the optical cable joint box is packaged according to the prescribed operating procedure, the inflation pressure inside the optical cable joint box is (100 ± 5) kPa. It should be soaked in a clean water container at room temperature and observed stably for 15 minutes without any bubbles escaping, or the pressure gauge should show no change after 24 hours of stable observation.

Re sealing performance

The optical cable joint box shall be tested after being packaged three times according to the prescribed operating procedure. The inflation pressure inside the optical cable joint box is 100kPa ± 5kPa. It should be immersed in a clean water container at room temperature and observed stably for 15 minutes without any bubbles escaping, or the pressure gauge should show no change after 24 hours of stable observation.

Mechanical performance

After the following tests, there should be no changes in the body and various parts inside the optical cable joint box. If necessary, a light inspection or opening of the box should be carried out. The following tests should be filled with (60 ± 5) kPa air pressure inside the optical cable joint box, and the air pressure should not change after the test; In a clean water container immersed in room temperature, there should be no bubbles escaping after 15 minutes of stable observation or no changes in the pressure gauge indicators after 24 hours of stable observation. The shell and its components should have no cracks, damage, or obvious deformation
