The Fiber Aerial Terminal Closure is a strand-mounted, vented fiber optic terminal for fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) applications. It is designed for in-line, tight-jacket, and butt-splice configurations. The SLiC 530 closure consists of two separate chambers: the distribution cable splice chamber and the branch termination chamber. The distribution cable splice chamber houses fiber splices and stores buffer tube or ribbon fiber slack, while the branch termination chamber is used to house all branch terminations. This process separation feature allows installers to terminate and maintain branches without entering the splice chamber. The 530 terminal closure is capable of handling OptiTap® adapters, external cable assembly modules, factory terminated SC APC or SC UPC fiber branches, and direct splices. The terminal accommodates 4, 6, 8, or 12 branches.
